THE SEVEN Cs OF HIS CHOSEN VESSELS (2)
1. The
Call (Can you hear the call and the cry?)
When the armies of Israel
heard the voice of Goliath they were greatly afraid. The presence of the man
became a challenge and a reproach to the nation and God. While the people were
crying for help, God had already chosen vessel, unknown to Saul and his armies
according to His purpose.
When David appeared in the
camp he heard the invitation from Goliath and the cry for help from his people.
He responded to the challenge with courage. He knew what God can do through him
regardless of the size of the problem.
Today, there is a call and
cry for help coming from the seven major pillars of our society. His chosen
vessels can hear this cry in their hearts. Are they going to respond boldly and
allow God to use them? Will they shrink in fear and wait for God to bring a
change without a human vessel? The power of earthen vessels is the treasure
inside.
His chosen vessels are God’s
solutions and answers to the world’s needs. They accept the mandate and champion
the cause of change in their spheres of influence.
We are not empty vessels.
Empty vessels are noise-makers. His chosen vessels are vessels of power. Power
is the ability to cause change. So, we are change-makers and life-changers. We are
vessels of change. We bring change wherever we go. His chosen vessels are
carriers and transmitters of power of God to change the narrative.
2. The
Conviction (Are you fully persuaded?)
It is one thing to believe
that you are the chosen vessel to cause the desired change but another thing to
be fully convinced of God’s faithfulness and His power at work in you. When you
are fully convinced nothing can shake you. When you are fully persuaded, you
become unashamed and unafraid no matter the situation that confronts you. Until
you are fully convinced, you will be defeated.
Conviction is a cause, belief,
dream or idea you hold dear upon which you have staked your life and existence.
It is the feeling of certainty that what you have believed is guaranteed to
happen regardless of oppositions you face.
His chosen vessels are
fully persuaded that God is the One at work in them. They are fully convinced
that God will never leave or forsake them. They rest on the assurances of God.
